SSRS milestone dashboardBelow we have an example of milestone dashboard using ssrs. Let me describe the elements of it: -- Status: We can see different milestone statuses, number of milestones and a data bar to help us visualize the data. Additionally we have conditional indicators so if we have major delays we will get red circle which is used to get user attention. -- Plan vs Resources: This tell us how many hours we need to do to achieve our milestones (plan) and how resources we have. Additionally we break the data into time frames so we can see short-term, medium and long-term demand. To help users visualize the data especially time frames we we have insufficient resources we calculate the % between planned work and available resources and display the data using centered data bar where left (minus %) is red which means we have insufficient resources to complete the milestone on time and right (plus %) which is our resources surplus and this can get handy for knowing a good point to launch new email campaings etc. -- Deliveries: In here we can see when milestones should be delivered and the current progress. Additionally we have summary for each line and required time to complete it. The numbers are not the best way to visualize it and we intend to change it to heat map later on. See below SSRS milestone dashboard example
