What is helping whisper?

We provide a service that we call 'helping whisper' that basically allows companies (mainly UK and USA based) to get quick ad-hoc advice on a certain subject or issue related to SQL Server, Data Warehouse Design or Project Management.

Why did we decide to introduce helping whisper?

Business Intelligence projects are more and more popular but many small and medium sized companies with usually limited budget struggle sometimes with achieving their objectives or tasks and sometimes just need 'helping whisper' to turn in the right direction and become much more effective. 

Our 'helping whisper' is suitable in many situations and we list some of them below:

• Kimball Data Warehouse Design & Architecture questions.
• Certain Microsoft Software & Licensing questions (like how to do Proof of Concept without any software cost).
• Performance related questions (slow running queries, how to reduce maintenance costs) 
• Documentation, Processes, Templates.
• Project Management. We specialize in Scrum (Agile) development.
• Need for bespoke training (developer, business users and stakeholders)
• Ad-hoc off-site or remote development/testing.
• Any kind of SQL Server and BI related questions.

How much is it?

We charge £60 per hour (or $95 per hour). First hour cost is £20 ($30) and 100% of first hour consultation charge goes to charity.

NOTE: UK based companies are charged 20% VAT which most companies can claim back. If you pay using guru.com we don't add VAT.

How it works?

You book an hour of 'helping whisper' and pay using PayPal (or guru.com US based freelance portal + 5% service fee).  

We call you (usually skype) and share screen using join.me and after the first session you decide if you want more.

We are able to attend meetings during 8am and 8pm UK time. (which covers mornings and early afternoon if you are based in US).
